Yes, upon class availability, we take admissions throughout the year. For details regarding seat availability, please contact us at : admissions@uia.jp
Our President/CEO is Mr.Kazumasa Sugita. The school benefits from a clear governance structure which empowers the principal Mr. Michael Taylor as the clear operational leader of the school.
We would be delighted to arrange a school tour. To do so, we request you to fill in the School Tour Form and revert to the team ( School Tour Form English / School Tour Form Japanese ). On Section 4 please mention 3 possible dates for appointment. The school is open for visitors from 9AM to 2PM (Monday-Friday). Please note that the school is closed on weekends and national holidays. Please make sure to review the Admissions Handbook before your visit.
UIA International School of Tokyo is offering the world-recognised Cambridge Curriculum to students in Japan from Kindergarten 3 to Grade 12. We also offer the International Preschool Curriculum for our Kindergarten 1 and 2 students.
We usually have two sections per grade level with a maximum of 21 students per class for Kindergarten. A teacher and an assistant are present during the whole school day.
Yes, for Kindergarten admission, no english skills are required.
Yes, your Kindergarten is accredited for subsidy fees from Japanese government. For further details and information and to know if your family is eligible, please contact your local city hall.
The school timings are as follows : 8:40AM - 1:40PM. We do have an After-Care available for Kindergarten students from 2PM to 7PM.
We have more than 400 students in school, coming from 15 different countries.
No, the school does not provide snacks/lunch. We require parents to prepare those for their child.
Our staff and teachers come from a lot of different countries and backgrounds. We have teachers coming from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia but also from Germany, India, Japan, France, Philippines and so on !
We do offer an After-Care program for our Kindergarten students, available from 2PM to 7PM. It is not free of charge. Please kindly refer to this page for fee details.
Yes, we do offer free bus service on our existing bus routes. Please kindly refer to the KG Bus Routes - Google Maps .
No, our bus service is a free service offered for the convenience of our families. Bus routes and bus stops are developed and set at the start of each academic year, and will remain firm throughout the academic year. We apologize for the inconvenience caused but we are unable to accommodate individual requests due to the enormity of students who take advantage of our free bus service each day.
Yes, our students have outdoor play everyday at Kiba park. Kiba park is located less than 5 min away from Kiba campus.

- School Visit : An overview about our school mission, philosophy, and curriculum will be given during your visit to school. The school tour is free of charge.

- Assessment : The next step of admission is the assessment. The assessment will be conducted by the academic team. A prior appointment is mandatory for an assessment. An assessment can be planned on the same day as the school visit or on a different day. Please note that on the day of the assessment, we will require you to bring along any one of the completed Admissions Application Form English or Admissions Application Form Japanese, all the documents mentioned on Section 8 and an application fee of ¥11,000 (non-refundable).

- Respond to Admissions Decision : Following the tour and in-school assessment, student documents will be verified by our admissions team. Provided that all documents have been submitted on time, the results of the in-school assessment will be sent to parents via email within 5 working days. If any information provided to the school during the admission process is found to be falsified, then the school reserves the right to cancel the admission and initiate the separation process.
